Depending on how spicy you want your burger, you may need to add more or less sirachi.
I like my mushrooms cooked, so I sauteed my garlic, onions, and mushrooms before adding them to my burger mix.
1 tbsp Ground flaxseeds
3 tbsp Water
15 oz. can Chickpeas (garbanzo) drained
1 cup Mushrooms (diced)
1 med. Red onion (diced)
2 Garlic cloves (minced)
1 cup Quick oats
1/4 cup Sirachi
1 tsp Cumin
1 tbsp Cilantro
Salt and pepper to taste
Flax egg: 1 tbsp ground flaxseed + 3 tbsp water (set aside for 10 minutes) It will thicken when ready to use.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, saute garlic, onion, and mushrooms for about 3 to 4 minutes. Set aside.
In a medium mixing bowl, mash chickpeas. Add onions, mushrooms, quick oats, sirachi, cumin, cilantro, salt, and pepper.
Form into patties
In a skillet, add oil and heat over medium-high heat, add patties cook 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
