Vegan Chocolate Pie

Every time I watch the movie "The Help", my mouth always waters when I see Minnie's Chocolate Pie. My husband's birthday is coming up, and he loves everything chocolate, so I decided to make a vegan chocolate pie.
I love a graham cracker crust, so I chose this type of crust over a dough crust. But, I either would work very well. This pie is easy to make and delicious! I hope you enjoy it as much as me and my husband did.
Ingredients:
Graham Cracker Pie Crust
1 1/2 cup Graham Cracker Crumbs
5 tbsp Nondairy butter (melted)
1/4 cup Pure cane sugar
Pie Filling
1/2 cup Unsweetened cocoa
1 cup Pure cane sugar
1/3 cup Cornstarch
1/4 tsp Salt
3 cups Almond milk
3 tbsp Nondairy butter
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
Nondairy Whip Cream (optional)
Directions:
Graham Cracker Crust
In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and butter. Mix well. Pour the mix in the pie dish and press graham crackers on the dish's sides and bottom. Bake in a preheated oven at 300F for 10 minutes.
Pie Filling
Over medium heat in a saucepan, add cocoa, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Slowly add almond milk until smooth. Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a boil. It will start to thicken and look like chocolate pudding. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
Pour pie filling on graham cracker crust and make sure it is spread out evenly. Cover pie with plastic wrap and set in the refrigerator 6 to 8 hours or overnight.
Top with nondairy whip cream and enjoy!
