Vegan "pulled Pork" Sliders


This is an easy and quick summer time vegan alternative to pulled pork sliders.


Tips:

  • I recommend King Oyster Mushrooms because they are easy to shred. Vietnamese grocery stores is where I find King oyster mushrooms.

  • You can use other mushrooms, but you need to slice them thinly


Ingredients:

4 cups oyster mushrooms(shredded)

1 tbsp oil

3 garlic cloves (minced)

1 sm onion (diced)

2 cups bbq sauce

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsps cayenne pepper

1 tsp smoked paprika


Directions:

  • Shred mushrooms with a fork and set them aside

  • Heat a skillet on medium and add oil. Sauté onions and garlic for 3 to 5 minutes or until soft. Add mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes or until mushrooms start to brown and most of the moisture is gone.

  • Add BBQ sauce and simmer for about 5 minutes or until it thickens.

  • Add your favorite toppings and serve.
